A tender moment between a religiously detested dog and a culturally admired lion. Seen as an emblem of vigour and virility, lions are among the most loved symbols by local politicians. Dogs are detested and avoided by most Muslims for being impure and stray dogs are often culled by the government authorities. Unsuspected objects and obscure spots often become their refuge.
