Abid's last picture

This was Abid’s last picture with his gypsy family at a waste disposal area in Lahore, Pakistan. He was beaten up, burnt around the pelvic area and limbs with multiple fractures and a bullet shot in his leg by his powerful & well-connected in-laws for a forced divorce. Unable to buy proper medicine and receive treatment, Abid had been lying on his bed for four months without plaster on his arms and legs due to burnt skin. He died a week after this photograph that was later used in the court as evidence of his condition.
